2026 is a special year. It marks thirteen years of WoMin’s journey alongside African women and communities, partners and allies, in resisting extractivism and advancing just alternatives rooted in care and solidarity. This calendar celebrates the depth and strength of African women’s activism, organising, and movement building – woven through ecofeminist and Pan-African visions of liberation, all realised by our collaboration with gifted Kenyan artist, Jane Kamau.
Each month, we spotlight a different facet of our collective struggle and hope, lifting up the voices, slogans, and poetry of women who have shaped WoMin’s political direction and helped build a growing continental ecofeminist movement. This calendar honours the past, grounds us in the present, and reaffirms our commitment to a decolonial, feminist, and life-affirming future.
We hope you use it to inspire your movement building and resistance to counter the daily struggles we face to bring forth a new world built on shared solidarity and dreaming and imagining truly radical alternatives.
