Francophone Coordinator of Women Building Power, Energy and Climate Justice

Oumou’s interest in environmental issues and the challenges they pose for vulnerable rural communities in Africa was nurtured through her work with the Vice Chair of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD 15), on behalf of Africa. Before joining WoMin, she worked with Enda Energie in Senegal where she focused on Climate Change Adaptation in Africa and built a wide network of rural communities across West Africa. She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in International Rural Development (Royal Agricultural University, UK), with a focus on Climate Change, a Master’s degree in Cultural Management and Administration, and a Bachelor’s degree in English Studies (University of Ouagadougou).
