WomIN TEAM
Sostine Namanya is a feminist and organiser. She has worked with grassroots women affected by mineral resource extraction and large infrastructure projects in Uganda over the years to help them realise their POWER! Sostine is part of various women’s solidarity and movement networks across East Africa and is passionate about consent rights for communities on the frontlines of extractivism. She also has an interest in building and strengthening African ecofeminist knowledges, and has co-authored the paper Reimagining the Future Beyond Extractives: A paper with and for the Ecofeminist movement in Uganda to outline potential for Transformative change.
